Air Arabia Introduces Four Weekly Flights Connecting Sharjah and Amman City Airport

SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop flights between Sharjah International Airport and Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. Operating four times weekly, this new route broadens the airline’s network linking the United Arab Emirates with Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia offers flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, which serves the Jordanian capital. The addition of this route provides travelers with a second option for Amman airports via the airline’s Sharjah network, enhancing its scheduled connections to Jordan.

Air Arabia adds new Sharjah to Amman City Airport route
Air Arabia expands UAE-Jordan air links with a new Sharjah-Amman service.

Flights will be scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, will leave Amman at 11:20 a.m. and arrive back in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Air Arabia has made the route available for booking through its website, call center, and travel agencies.

This new service enhances Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan operations by creating an additional direct link. The group currently connects Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. It also operates flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new route from Sharjah will extend the group’s reach to Amman City Airport from another UAE departure point while continuing its current services to Jordan.

Air Arabia broadens access to two Amman airports

Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, stated that the new route offers passengers a second airport option in the Jordanian capital. He emphasized that this service will bring greater convenience and flexibility for travelers moving between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month before its scheduled start in November. The new flights will operate alongside Air Arabia’s existing services from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport.

Earlier this year, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own route to Amman City Airport on May 1, with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This service also includes flights to Queen Alia International Airport, providing two options for travelers from the UAE capital. In April, Air Arabia reported that the two Abu Dhabi routes together offered 10 weekly flights to Amman at the time of the second airport service launch.

Sharjah’s new route adds four weekly Jordanian flights

The service from Sharjah, operating under flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, follows a fixed schedule of four flights per week. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its broader network. The airline also features its SkyTime streaming service, SkyCafe onboard menu, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Passengers can reserve tickets for the Amman City Airport flights ahead of the November 15 launch via the airline’s official sales channels.

This expansion strengthens Air Arabia Group’s Jordan connectivity through its bases in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will have direct flights to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also provides services to both airports, and Alexandria’s route links directly to Amman City Airport. The upcoming November launch will add four scheduled weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital to the airline’s regional network.
